Prerequisites of SSC CGL Examination

Educational Qualifications

All the positions under the Staff Selection Commission require a basic and essential Graduation/Bachelors or an equivalent education from an accredited Institute or University.

SSC CGL 2020-2021 Tier-I exam is an objective exam which will be conducted online. There shall be negative marking in the SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination. Deduction of 0.5 marks shall be done for each wrong question attempted by the candidate in each section.

SSC CGL Exam Tier-2

The SSC CGL Exam Tier 2, commonly called as Mains Exam is conducted online and is an objective multiple choice exam. Coming this year the Tier-II & Tier-III exam shall be conducted the same day. Each section has 100 questions except for English Language which has 200 questions.Each section carries a weightage of 200 marks.The major sections asked in Mains Exam are Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics, General Studies (Finance and Economics).  SSC CGL Exam Tier-3

The objective of the SSC CGL Tier III is aimed at testing the candidate’s written skills in the Language of English or Hindi (As per the candidate’s preferred choice).The mode of the exam is Offline or Pen/Paper mode and the paper is descriptive in nature. Candidates are expected to write Essays, Precis, Application, or letters in this exam.
