NEGATIVE MARKING
There shall be negative marking in the SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination. Deduction of 0.5 marks shall be done for each wrong question attempted by the candidate in each section.
SSC CGL Exam Tier-2
The SSC CGL Exam Tier 2, commonly called as Mains Exam is conducted online and is an objective multiple choice exam. Coming this year the Tier-II & Tier-III exam shall be conducted the same day. SSC CGL Exam Tier-3
The objective of the SSC CGL Tier III is aimed at testing the candidate’s written skills in the Language of English or Hindi (As per the candidate’s preferred choice).The mode of the exam is Offline or Pen/Paper mode and the paper is descriptive in nature. Candidates are expected to write Essays, Precis, Application, or letters in this exam. The exam carries a total of 100 marks and the candidate has to accomplish the task in the given time of 60 minutes.In case of Persons with disability or PwD, the allotted time has been increased to 80 minutes. ● The Tier-I exam is compulsory for all posts mentioned in the SSC CGL 2019-20 Notification.
● The candidates have to prepare for the Tier 2&3 Exams together.
● Evaluation of Tier 3 descriptive shall be done only if the candidate is able to satisfy the cut-offs of Tier 1&2 respectively. Candidates will have to prepare for both Tier 2 and Tier 3 exams simultaneously. However, the evaluation of Tier 3 Descriptive exam will be done only if a candidate clears the combined cut off for Tier 1 and Tier 2.
