Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Exam procedure

Staff Selection Commission hold an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the Group-“C” posts of Data Entry Operator in Pay Band-1, Grade Pay Rs. 2400 and Lower Division Clerk in Pay Band-1, Grade Pay Rs.1900 in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/Offices. Minimum education qualification for the exam is 12th Standard Pass from recognized board/university. The exam will comprise of a written objective type Examination followed by Data Entry Skill Test/Typing Test.

Eligibility:

a.) Age: 18 to 27 Years of age at the time of Notification (Generally in the month of January or February)
b.) Nationality: The candidate should be a National of India/ Nepal or Bhutan.
c.) Qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University at the time of applying the Exam.

Application Procedure:
a) The applicants can apply for the exam by applying online on the official website of SSC.
b) The candidates may also apply offline by filling in the offline form and submitting in the respective SSC Offices.

Skill Test For Data Entry Operator(DEO)

Data Entry Operator (DEO) Skill Test

Only those candidates, who secure at least the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination, are called for skill test.
The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test is of qualifying nature. Candidates allowed to take this test, have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on Computer.
Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer is required.
The Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage.
The Duration of the Test is 15 (Fifteen) minutes.

Typing Test For LDCs (Lower Division Clerks)

LDCs (Lower Division Clerks) Typing Test

Typing Test is conducted for those candidates who qualify in the Written Examination.
Typing Test is conducted in English or Hindi.
Typing Test will is of qualifying in nature. It is administered on the Computer provided by the Commission or any agency authorized by the Commission.
For English medium typing speed required is of 35 words per minute.
For Hindi medium typing speed required is of 30 words per minute.
Time allowed for test is 10 minutes.
