1. FSSAI LAUNCHES OFFICIAL VEGAN LOGO TO IMPROVE CONSUMER AWARENESS AND TRANSPARENCY  –

• The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has introduced the standardized vegan logo for the approved vegan food products in India. The new logo will become mandatory from 1st July in 2027 and it aims to provide the consumers with a clear and reliable way to identify vegan foods. This move is expected to strengthen transparency, prevent misleading claims and promote the environmentally sustainable food choices in India.

FSSAI Introduces Standard Vegan Logo

• The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has notified the standardized logo that will serve as the official identification mark for the all vegan food products which are sold in India.
• Under the amended Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Regulations, all the approved vegan food packages must display the logo in the prescribed format.

उपभोक्ता जागरूकता और पारदर्शिता बढ़ाने के लिए FSSAI ने आधिकारिक शाकाहारी लोगो लॉन्च किया –

• भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक प्राधिकरण (FSSAI) ने भारत में अनुमोदित शाकाहारी खाद्य उत्पादों के लिए मानकीकृत शाकाहारी लोगो जारी किया है। यह नया लोगो 1 जुलाई, 2027 से अनिवार्य हो जाएगा और इसका उद्देश्य उपभोक्ताओं को शाकाहारी खाद्य पदार्थों की पहचान करने का एक स्पष्ट और विश्वसनीय तरीका प्रदान करना है। इस कदम से पारदर्शिता को बढ़ावा मिलने, भ्रामक दावों को रोकने और भारत में पर्यावरण के अनुकूल खाद्य विकल्पों को प्रोत्साहित करने की उम्मीद है।

FSSAI द्वारा जारी मानक शाकाहारी लोगो

• भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक प्राधिकरण ने मानकीकृत लोगो को अधिसूचित किया है, जो भारत में बेचे जाने वाले सभी शाकाहारी खाद्य उत्पादों के लिए आधिकारिक पहचान चिह्न के रूप में कार्य करेगा।
• संशोधित खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक (शाकाहारी खाद्य पदार्थ) विनियमों के तहत, सभी अनुमोदित शाकाहारी खाद्य पैकेजों पर निर्धारित प्रारूप में लोगो प्रदर्शित करना अनिवार्य है।

 

2. INDIA REACHES LANDMARK OF 100 RAMSAR SITES WITH JAI PRAKASH NARAYAN BIRD SANCTUARY –

India Reaches the Landmark of the 100 Ramsar Sites

• The designation of the Jai Prakash Narayan Bird Sanctuary as a Ramsar Site has elevated the India’s total count of internationally recognized wetlands to the 100.
• This achievement showcases the country’s growing focus on to the wetland conservation and sustainable environmental management.
• This recognition was granted under the Ramsar Convention it is an international treaty which is dedicated to the conservation and the wise use of wetlands.
• The addition of Surha Tal further will further strengthens the India’s position as one of the leading nations in to the wetland conservation globally.

भारत ने 100 रामसर स्थलों का मील का पत्थर हासिल किया

• जय प्रकाश नारायण पक्षी अभयारण्य को रामसर स्थल का दर्जा मिलने से अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मान्यता प्राप्त आर्द्रभूमियों की भारत की कुल संख्या 100 हो गई है।
• यह उपलब्धि आर्द्रभूमि संरक्षण और सतत पर्यावरण प्रबंधन पर देश के बढ़ते ध्यान को दर्शाती है।
• यह मान्यता रामसर कन्वेंशन के तहत प्रदान की गई है, जो आर्द्रभूमियों के संरक्षण और विवेकपूर्ण उपयोग के लिए समर्पित एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय संधि है।
• सुरहा ताल के जुड़ने से आर्द्रभूमि संरक्षण में वैश्विक स्तर पर अग्रणी देशों में से एक के रूप में भारत की स्थिति और मजबूत होगी।

 

3. RBI MONETARY POLICY MEETING JUNE 2026: REPO RATE UNCHANGED AT 5.25% –

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced its latest monetary policy decisions after the 61st meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) held from June 3 to June 5, 2026, under the chairmanship of RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra.
• Amid rising geopolitical uncertainty, elevated energy prices, global supply chain disruptions, and inflation concerns, the committee decided to maintain the existing policy rate while continuing with a neutral policy stance.
• The decision reflects RBI’s balanced approach of supporting economic growth while remaining vigilant against inflationary risks.

RBI Monetary Policy Meeting June 2026: Key Decisions

• After reviewing domestic and global macroeconomic developments, the Monetary Policy Committee unanimously decided to:
• Keep the Repo Rate unchanged at 5.25%
• Maintain the Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) Rate at 5.00%
• Keep the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) Rate at 5.50%
• Continue with the Neutral Policy Stance
• The decision indicates that RBI is currently adopting a wait-and-watch approach before making further adjustments.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (आरबीआई) की मौद्रिक नीति बैठक (जून 2026): रेपो दर 5.25% पर अपरिवर्तित –

• भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने 3 से 5 जून, 2026 तक आरबीआई गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा ​​की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित मौद्रिक नीति समिति (एमपीसी) की 61वीं बैठक के बाद अपने नवीनतम मौद्रिक नीति निर्णयों की घोषणा की।
• बढ़ती भू-राजनीतिक अनिश्चितता, ऊर्जा की बढ़ती कीमतों, वैश्विक आपूर्ति श्रृंखला में व्यवधान और मुद्रास्फीति संबंधी चिंताओं के बीच, समिति ने तटस्थ नीतिगत रुख अपनाते हुए मौजूदा नीतिगत दर को अपरिवर्तित रखने का निर्णय लिया।
• यह निर्णय मुद्रास्फीति के जोखिमों के प्रति सतर्क रहते हुए आर्थिक विकास को समर्थन देने के आरबीआई के संतुलित दृष्टिकोण को दर्शाता है।

आरबीआई की मौद्रिक नीति बैठक जून 2026: प्रमुख निर्णय

• घरेलू और वैश्विक व्यापक आर्थिक घटनाक्रमों की समीक्षा के बाद, मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने सर्वसम्मति से निम्नलिखित निर्णय लिए:
• रेपो दर को 25% पर अपरिवर्तित रखना
• स्थायी जमा सुविधा (एसडीएफ) दर को 00% पर बनाए रखना
• सीमांत स्थायी सुविधा (एमएसएफ) दर को 50% पर बनाए रखना
• तटस्थ नीतिगत रुख जारी रखना
• यह निर्णय दर्शाता है कि आरबीआई आगे कोई समायोजन करने से पहले प्रतीक्षा करो और देखो की नीति अपना रहा है।

 

4. PM MODI INAUGURATES FIRST WORLD YOGASANA CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 IN AHMEDABAD –

• Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the First World Yogasana Championship 2026 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 4th of June, 2026. This event brings together the athletes from different countries and it represents the major step toward establishing Yogasana as the competitive sport at the international level and it organized just ahead of the International Yoga Day 2026.

First World Yogasana Championship Begins in Ahmedabad

• Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the First World Yogasana Championship through a video message from and calling it as the historic addition to the world’s sporting legacy.
• The championship is the first international event dedicated exclusively to the Yogasana and it aims to showcase the sport’s competitive potential. Athletes from around the world have gathered to participate in this competition.

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने अहमदाबाद में प्रथम विश्व योगासन चैंपियनशिप 2026 का उद्घाटन किया –

• माननीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 4 जून, 2026 को गुजरात के अहमदाबाद में प्रथम विश्व योगासन चैंपियनशिप 2026 का उद्घाटन किया। यह आयोजन विभिन्न देशों के खिलाड़ियों को एक साथ लाता है और योगासन को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर एक प्रतिस्पर्धी खेल के रूप में स्थापित करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इसका आयोजन अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 2026 से ठीक पहले किया गया है।

अहमदाबाद में प्रथम विश्व योगासन चैंपियनशिप का प्रारंभ

• माननीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने एक वीडियो संदेश के माध्यम से प्रथम विश्व योगासन चैंपियनशिप का उद्घाटन किया और इसे विश्व की खेल विरासत में एक ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि बताया।
• यह चैंपियनशिप योगासन को समर्पित पहला अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आयोजन है और इसका उद्देश्य इस खेल की प्रतिस्पर्धी क्षमता को प्रदर्शित करना है। इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने के लिए विश्व भर के खिलाड़ी एकत्रित हुए हैं।

 

5. WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026: DATE, THEME, HISTORY, SIGNIFICANCE, HOST COUNTRY AND WHY CLIMATE ACTION MATTERS –

• On 5th June 2026 World Environment Day will be celebrated worldwide and it brings together the governments, organizations, businesses and citizens from all around the world to address the pressing environmental challenges. The day observed annually under the leadership of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and this day serves as the global platform for the environmental awareness and action.

World Environment Day 2026: Date and Theme

• World Environment Day is observed every year on 5th of June and it is considered as the largest global platform dedicated to the environmental awareness and action.
• The theme for the World Environment Day 2026 is “Inspired by Nature: For Climate. For Our Future.” and this campaign is also driven by the global call to action #NowForClimate and it highlighting the need to move beyond the promises and implement real climate solutions.
• The theme encourages the countries, institutions and individuals to strengthen climate resilience, restore ecosystems, reduce pollution and adopt the sustainable lifestyles that supports the long-term environmental protection.

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस 2026: तिथि, विषय, इतिहास, महत्व, मेजबान देश और जलवायु परिवर्तन पर कार्रवाई क्यों महत्वपूर्ण है –

• 5 जून 2026 को विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस विश्व भर में मनाया जाएगा और यह दुनिया भर की सरकारों, संगठनों, व्यवसायों और नागरिकों को पर्यावरण संबंधी गंभीर चुनौतियों से निपटने के लिए एकजुट करता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम (यूएनईपी) के नेतृत्व में प्रतिवर्ष मनाया जाने वाला यह दिवस पर्यावरण जागरूकता और कार्रवाई के लिए एक वैश्विक मंच के रूप में कार्य करता है।

• विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 5 जून को मनाया जाता है और इसे पर्यावरण जागरूकता और कार्रवाई के लिए समर्पित सबसे बड़ा वैश्विक मंच माना जाता है।
