1. NATIONAL PANCHAYATI RAJ DAY 2026: –

• The National Panchayati Raj Day 2026 is observed on the April 24 every year across the India. This day marks the significant moment to strengthen the grassroots democracy. The day commemorates the implementation of the 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1992 and which came into force in 1993 and it have institutionalized the local self-governance in rural India. This year’s theme is the ‘Sashakt Panchayat, Sarvangeen Vikas’ reflects the growing importance of to empower Panchayats.

National Panchayati Raj Day 2026 Theme

• The theme for this year is the ‘Sashakt Panchayat, Sarvangeen Vikas’.
• The theme is focuses on to strengthening the local bodies to ensure inclusive and balanced development.
• Panchayats are now playing the important role to implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the grassroots level.

राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस 2026: –

• राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस 2026 हर साल 24 अप्रैल को पूरे भारत में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन जमीनी स्तर पर लोकतंत्र को मजबूत करने के महत्वपूर्ण अवसर का प्रतीक है। यह दिन 73वें संवैधानिक संशोधन अधिनियम, 1992 के कार्यान्वयन की याद दिलाता है, जो 1993 में लागू हुआ था और जिसने ग्रामीण भारत में स्थानीय स्वशासन को संस्थागत रूप दिया था। इस वर्ष का विषय ‘सशक्त पंचायत, सर्वांगीण विकास’ है, जो पंचायतों को सशक्त बनाने के बढ़ते महत्व को दर्शाता है।

राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस 2026 का विषय

• इस वर्ष का विषय ‘सशक्त पंचायत, सर्वांगीण विकास’ है।
• यह विषय समावेशी और संतुलित विकास सुनिश्चित करने के लिए स्थानीय निकायों को मजबूत करने पर केंद्रित है।
• पंचायतें अब जमीनी स्तर पर सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (एसडीजी) को लागू करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं।

 

2. INDIA’S NEW ONLINE GAMING RULES KICK IN FROM MAY 1, 2026

• To regulate the rapidly growing the online gaming sector India has introduced new rules to focusing on the user safety and the responsible gaming. These are to e notified on the ay 1st, 2026 under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. It is also part of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025 (PROGA) and will create the safer, transparent and accountable gaming system.

Formation of Online Gaming Authority of India (OGAI)

• The major feature of the new rules is the to creation of the Online Gaming Authority of India (OGAI).

Structure of OGAI

• It will be headed by a senior official (Additional Secretary level)
• Includes representatives from,
• Ministry of Home Affairs
• Ministry of Information & Broadcasting
• Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports
• Department of Financial Services
• Department of Legal Affairs

भारत के नए ऑनलाइन गेमिंग नियम 1 मई, 2026 से लागू –

• तेजी से बढ़ते ऑनलाइन गेमिंग क्षेत्र को विनियमित करने के लिए भारत ने उपयोगकर्ता सुरक्षा और जिम्मेदार गेमिंग पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए नए नियम पेश किए हैं। इन्हें इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय के तहत 1 मई, 2026 को अधिसूचित किया जाएगा। यह ऑनलाइन गेमिंग संवर्धन एवं विनियमन अधिनियम 2025 (PROGA) का भी हिस्सा है और इससे एक सुरक्षित, पारदर्शी और जवाबदेह गेमिंग प्रणाली का निर्माण होगा।

ऑनलाइन गेमिंग अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (OGAI) का गठन

• नए नियमों की प्रमुख विशेषता ऑनलाइन गेमिंग अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (OGAI) का गठन है।

ओजीएआई की संरचना

• इसका नेतृत्व एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी (अतिरिक्त सचिव स्तर) करेंगे।
• इसमें निम्नलिखित विभागों के प्रतिनिधि शामिल होंगे:
• गृह मंत्रालय
• सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय
• युवा मामले एवं खेल मंत्रालय
• वित्तीय सेवा विभाग
• कानूनी मामलों का विभाग

 

3. INDIA’S ATAL PENSION YOJANA HITS RECORD 9 CRORE ENROLMENTS –

• Atal Pension Yojana (APY) has reached the historic milestone by achieving the 9 crore total gross enrolments in scheme as of the 21st April, 2026. This achievement showcases the scheme’s growing popularity and specially among the workers in the unorganized sector. Importantly in the financial year 2025-26 alone recorded over the 1.35 crore new subscribers and make it the highest ever annual enrolment since the inception of the scheme.

Record Enrollments in FY 2025026

• The remarkable rise in the enrolments under the APY is not just accidental. It is the result of the coordinated efforts by the multiple institutions which includes the banks, postal networks and government agencies.

Several other factors have contributed to this growth,

• As the extensive outreach campaigns across rural and semi-urban areas.
• Active participation of the public and private banks along with regional rural banks (rrbs)
• It also got support from the Department of Posts to reaching remote populations
• Also the continuous awareness drives and multilingual communication initiatives

भारत की अटल पेंशन योजना ने रिकॉर्ड 9 करोड़ नामांकन हासिल किए –

• अटल पेंशन योजना (एपीवाई) ने 21 अप्रैल, 2026 तक कुल 9 करोड़ नामांकन का ऐतिहासिक आंकड़ा पार कर लिया है। यह उपलब्धि योजना की बढ़ती लोकप्रियता, विशेष रूप से असंगठित क्षेत्र के श्रमिकों के बीच, को दर्शाती है। महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि अकेले वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 में 35 करोड़ से अधिक नए ग्राहक जुड़े, जो योजना की शुरुआत के बाद से अब तक का सबसे अधिक वार्षिक नामांकन है।

वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 में रिकॉर्ड नामांकन

• एपीवाई के तहत नामांकन में यह उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि संयोगवश नहीं है। यह बैंकों, डाक नेटवर्क और सरकारी एजेंसियों सहित कई संस्थानों के समन्वित प्रयासों का परिणाम है।

इस वृद्धि में कई अन्य कारकों का भी योगदान रहा है,

• जैसे कि ग्रामीण और अर्ध-शहरी क्षेत्रों में व्यापक जागरूकता अभियान।
• सार्वजनिक और निजी बैंकों के साथ-साथ क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंकों (आरआरबी) की सक्रिय भागीदारी
• दूरस्थ आबादी तक पहुँचने के लिए डाक विभाग से भी सहयोग प्राप्त हुआ
• निरंतर जागरूकता अभियान और बहुभाषी संचार पहल

• World Book and Copyright Day 2026 is observed on 23rd April around the world every year. This day celebrates the power of books, authors and reading culture. The day was established by the UNESCO and it highlights how the books connect cultures, preserve knowledge and inspire generations. It also raises awareness about the copyright laws which protect the authors rights. This occasion also promotes the education, creativity and global conversation through the written word.

5. TASHKENT TO HOST WORLD PARA ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2027 IN JUNE –

• World Para Athletics has announced that Tashkent will host the 2027 World Para Athletics Championships. This event is scheduled to be held in the June 2027. This will marks the first time the Central Asia will host the prestigious event. The championship which is one of the largest para sporting events in the world will take place at the state-of-the-art Olympic City Main Stadium in Tashkent.

Tashkent Selected as Host for 2027 Championships

• The announcement confirms that Tashkent will host the 13th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships.
• This decision showcases the Uzbekistan’s expanding infrastructure and its commitment to promote the inclusive sports and global sporting events.

जून 2027 में ताशकेंट में विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप का आयोजन –

• विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स ने घोषणा की है कि ताशकेंट 2027 विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप की मेजबानी करेगा। यह आयोजन जून 2027 में होने वाला है। मध्य एशिया में पहली बार इस प्रतिष्ठित आयोजन की मेजबानी की जाएगी। विश्व के सबसे बड़े पैरा खेल आयोजनों में से एक यह चैंपियनशिप ताशकेंट के अत्याधुनिक ओलंपिक सिटी मेन स्टेडियम में आयोजित की जाएगी।
