1. INDIA SETS GREEN AMMONIA & GREEN METHANOL STANDARDS UNDER NATIONAL GREEN HYDROGEN MISSION  –

• India has officially notified the standards for green ammonia and green methanol under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. This move of aimed at accelerating the adoption of hydrogen based fuels. And this will supporting the country’s transition to cleaner energy systems. This new standards define how green ammonia and green methanol must be produced using renewable energy sources. This is ensuring that these fuels meet strict environmental sustainability criteria.

Role of the National Green Hydrogen Mission

• The National Green Hydrogen Mission is the flagship initiative of the Government of India. Which is the designed to make the India as a global hub for green hydrogen production, utilization and export.
• This mission focuses on reducing dependence on fossil fuels while encouraging renewable energy use.
• By notifying green ammonia and green methanol standards, the government aims to strengthen India’s hydrogen ecosystem.
• These fuels are expected to play an important role in sectors such as shipping, fertilisers, heavy industries, and long-distance transport.

 

राष्ट्रीय हरित हाइड्रोजन मिशन के तहत भारत ने हरित अमोनिया और हरित मेथनॉल के मानक निर्धारित किए –

• भारत ने राष्ट्रीय हरित हाइड्रोजन मिशन के तहत हरित अमोनिया और हरित मेथनॉल के मानकों को आधिकारिक तौर पर अधिसूचित कर दिया है। इस कदम का उद्देश्य हाइड्रोजन आधारित ईंधनों को अपनाने में तेजी लाना है। इससे देश को स्वच्छ ऊर्जा प्रणालियों की ओर बढ़ने में मदद मिलेगी। ये नए मानक परिभाषित करते हैं कि नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्रोतों का उपयोग करके हरित अमोनिया और हरित मेथनॉल का उत्पादन कैसे किया जाना चाहिए। इससे यह सुनिश्चित होगा कि ये ईंधन पर्यावरण स्थिरता के सख्त मानदंडों को पूरा करते हैं।

राष्ट्रीय हरित हाइड्रोजन मिशन की भूमिका

• राष्ट्रीय हरित हाइड्रोजन मिशन भारत सरकार की प्रमुख पहल है। इसका उद्देश्य भारत को हरित हाइड्रोजन उत्पादन, उपयोग और निर्यात के लिए एक वैश्विक केंद्र बनाना है।
• यह मिशन नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के उपयोग को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए जीवाश्म ईंधनों पर निर्भरता कम करने पर केंद्रित है।
• हरित अमोनिया और हरित मेथनॉल मानकों को अधिसूचित करके, सरकार का लक्ष्य भारत के हाइड्रोजन पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को मजबूत करना है।
• इन ईंधनों से जहाजरानी, ​​उर्वरक, भारी उद्योग और लंबी दूरी के परिवहन जैसे क्षेत्रों में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाने की उम्मीद है।

 

2. NEW DELHI HOSTS WORLD PARA ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX 2026: OVER 250 ATHLETES TO COMPETE –

• The 2nd edition of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2026 in New Delhi. And it will take place from March 11 to March 13. In which the bringing together athletes from across the world. The international competition will feature around 257 athletes from eight countries, making it a major para sports event hosted by India. The event is expected to showcase high level performances in various track and field competitions.

Participation of Athletes from Eight Nations

• The World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2026 will see participation from athletes representing India, Russia, Nepal, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Serbia, Bosnia and Egypt.
• The participation from various countries highlights the expanding international interest in para athletics competitions hosted in India.
• India will have the largest contingent with about 219 athletes and they will competing in several events across multiple sport classifications.
• The large Indian representation reflects the rapid growth of para sports in the country and increased opportunities for athletes with disabilities.

 

नई दिल्ली में विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स ग्रांड प्रिक्स 2026 का आयोजन: 250 से अधिक एथलीट प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे –

• विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स ग्रांड प्रिक्स 2026 का दूसरा संस्करण नई दिल्ली में 11 से 13 मार्च तक आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसमें विश्वभर के एथलीट भाग लेंगे। इस अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता में आठ देशों के लगभग 257 एथलीट हिस्सा लेंगे, जिससे यह भारत द्वारा आयोजित एक प्रमुख पैरा स्पोर्ट्स इवेंट बन जाएगा। इस आयोजन में विभिन्न ट्रैक और फील्ड प्रतियोगिताओं में उच्च स्तरीय प्रदर्शन देखने को मिलेगा।

आठ देशों के एथलीटों की भागीदारी

• विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स ग्रांड प्रिक्स 2026 में भारत, रूस, नेपाल, भूटान, हांगकांग, सर्बिया, बोस्निया और मिस्र के एथलीट भाग लेंगे।
• विभिन्न देशों की भागीदारी भारत में आयोजित पैरा एथलेटिक्स प्रतियोगिताओं में बढ़ती अंतरराष्ट्रीय रुचि को दर्शाती है।
• भारत की ओर से लगभग 219 एथलीटों का सबसे बड़ा दल भाग लेगा और वे कई खेल श्रेणियों में विभिन्न स्पर्धाओं में प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे।
• भारतीय प्रतिनिधित्व की अधिकता देश में पैरा खेलों के तीव्र विकास और दिव्यांग एथलीटों के लिए बढ़ते अवसरों को दर्शाती है।

 

3. INDIA’S CHEETAH POPULATION REACHES 53 AFTER JWALA’S FIVE CUBS AT KUNO NATIONAL PARK –

• Cheetah population in India has reached 53 after Namibian cheetah Jwala gave birth to five cubs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. This announcement was made on March 9 2026 by Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav. And he hails a major achievement for Project Cheetah India. After this new birth the number of Indian born cheetah cubs has risen to 33. And also represents the 10th successful cheetah coming on Indian soil.

Cheetah Population in India Reaches 53 After Jwala’s Cubs

• The cheetah population in India increased to 53 individuals following the birth of five cubs by Jwala. This is a Namibian cheetah currently living in Kuno National Park. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav shared the news through on the social media platform X. And he had describing it as a proud moment for India’s wildlife conservation journey.
• This event represents the 10th successful cheetah litter in India. And also showing that Project Cheetah India is gradually achieving its ecological restoration goals.

कुनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में ज्वाला के पांच शावकों के जन्म के बाद भारत में चीतों की संख्या 53 तक पहुंची –

• मध्य प्रदेश के कुनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में नामीबियाई चीता ज्वाला के पांच शावकों को जन्म देने के बाद भारत में चीतों की संख्या 53 तक पहुंच गई है। यह घोषणा केंद्रीय पर्यावरण मंत्री भूपेंद्र यादव ने 9 मार्च 2026 को की थी। उन्होंने इसे प्रोजेक्ट चीता इंडिया की एक बड़ी उपलब्धि बताया। इस नए जन्म के बाद भारत में जन्मे चीतों के शावकों की संख्या बढ़कर 33 हो गई है। यह भारत की धरती पर आने वाला 10वां सफल चीता भी है।

ज्वाला के शावकों के बाद भारत में चीतों की संख्या 53 तक पहुंची

• कुनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में रहने वाली नामीबियाई चीता ज्वाला के पांच शावकों को जन्म देने के बाद भारत में चीतों की संख्या बढ़कर 53 हो गई है। केंद्रीय मंत्री भूपेंद्र यादव ने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म X के माध्यम से यह खबर साझा की। उन्होंने इसे भारत के वन्यजीव संरक्षण अभियान के लिए एक गौरवपूर्ण क्षण बताया।
• यह घटना भारत में चीतों के 10वें सफल प्रजनन का प्रतीक है। यह दर्शाता है कि प्रोजेक्ट चीता इंडिया धीरे-धीरे अपने पारिस्थितिक बहाली लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त कर रहा है।

 

4. INDIA SENDS MILITARY CONTINGENT FOR EXERCISE LAMITIYE 2026 –

• Indian Armed Forces team has reached Seychelles to participate in the 11th edition of Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE 2026. this exercise has been conducted with the Seychelles Defense Forces (SDF). The exercise is being held at the Seychelles Defense Academy from 9 to 20 March 2026. This year’s exercise marks an important milestone and it is special as all three services of the Indian Armed Forces Army, Navy and Air Force are participating together. The joint training programme aims to strengthen defense cooperation, enhance interoperability between forces and other areas.

Exercise LAMITIYE 2026

• The India-Seychelles Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE 2026 is a key defense engagement between the two countries designed to strengthen military ties and strategic cooperation.
• The exercise is conducted biennially that means it takes place every two years and has been hosted in Seychelles since 2001.
• The word “LAMITIYE” means “Friendship” in the Creole language.
• Which is symbolizing the close defense relationship between India and the island nation in the Indian Ocean region.

 

भारत ने अभ्यास लामितिये 2026 के लिए सैन्य दल भेजा –

• भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों का दल संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास लामितिये 2026 के 11वें संस्करण में भाग लेने के लिए सेशेल्स पहुंच गया है। यह अभ्यास सेशेल्स रक्षा बलों (एसडीएफ) के साथ मिलकर आयोजित किया जा रहा है। यह अभ्यास 9 से 20 मार्च 2026 तक सेशेल्स रक्षा अकादमी में आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इस वर्ष का अभ्यास एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि है और यह विशेष है क्योंकि भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों की तीनों सेवाएं – सेना, नौसेना और वायु सेना – एक साथ भाग ले रही हैं। संयुक्त प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य रक्षा सहयोग को मजबूत करना, बलों के बीच अंतर-संचालनीयता को बढ़ाना और अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी सुधार करना है।

अभ्यास लामितिये 2026

• भारत-सेशेल्स संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास लामितिये 2026 दोनों देशों के बीच एक महत्वपूर्ण रक्षा पहल है, जिसका उद्देश्य सैन्य संबंधों और रणनीतिक सहयोग को मजबूत करना है।
• यह अभ्यास द्विवार्षिक रूप से आयोजित किया जाता है और 2001 से सेशेल्स में आयोजित हो रहा है।
• क्रियोल भाषा में “लामितिये” शब्द का अर्थ “मित्रता” है।
• यह हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में स्थित इस द्वीप राष्ट्र के साथ भारत के घनिष्ठ रक्षा संबंधों का प्रतीक है।

 

5. GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES ‘SAY NO TO PROXY SARPANCH’ CAMPAIGN –

• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) has launched the ‘Say No To Proxy Sarpanch’ campaign. This campaign will to address the issue of the ‘Sarpanch Pati’ practice in village governance. This initiative was launched on International Women’s Day and it will run until March 18, 2026. This campaign will aims to raise awareness about situations where elected women sarpanches are sidelined and male relatives exercise authority on their behalf.

‘Sarpanch Pati’ Practice and Proxy Leadership in Gram Panchayats

• The ‘Sarpanch Pati’ practice refers to that a situation where male relatives of elected women sarpanches take over decision making authority in local governance.
• In the many villages women are elected as sarpanches due to reservation policies. But in practice their husbands or other male family members control official decisions. These men are commonly referred to as “Sarpanch Pati” “Pradhan Pati” or “Mukhiya Pati”
• The ‘Say No To Proxy Sarpanch’ campaign highlights this issue and encourages citizens to recognize and support authentic women leadership in Panchayati Raj institutions.

 

सरकार ने शुरू किया ‘प्रतिनिधि सरपंचों को ना कहें’ अभियान –

• पंचायती राज मंत्रालय (MoPR) ने ‘प्रतिनिधि सरपंचों को ना कहें’ अभियान शुरू किया है। इस अभियान का उद्देश्य ग्राम प्रशासन में ‘सरपंच पति’ प्रथा की समस्या का समाधान करना है। यह पहल अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर शुरू की गई थी और 18 मार्च, 2026 तक चलेगी। इस अभियान का लक्ष्य उन स्थितियों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना है जहां निर्वाचित महिला सरपंचों को दरकिनार कर दिया जाता है और उनके पुरुष रिश्तेदार उनकी ओर से सत्ता का प्रयोग करते हैं।

ग्राम पंचायतों में ‘सरपंच पति’ प्रथा और प्रतिनिधि नेतृत्व

• ‘सरपंच पति’ प्रथा से तात्पर्य उस स्थिति से है जहां निर्वाचित महिला सरपंचों के पुरुष रिश्तेदार स्थानीय प्रशासन में निर्णय लेने का अधिकार अपने हाथ में ले लेते हैं।
• कई गांवों में आरक्षण नीतियों के कारण महिलाएं सरपंच चुनी जाती हैं। लेकिन व्यवहार में उनके पति या परिवार के अन्य पुरुष सदस्य आधिकारिक निर्णयों को नियंत्रित करते हैं। इन पुरुषों को आमतौर पर “सरपंच पति”, “प्रधान पति” या “मुखिया पति” कहा जाता है।
• ‘प्रतिनिधि सरपंच को ना कहें’ अभियान इस मुद्दे को उजागर करता है और नागरिकों को पंचायती राज संस्थाओं में वास्तविक महिला नेतृत्व को पहचानने और उसका समर्थन करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है।
