SSA TGT Chandigarh Administration

NITTTR is the National Institute of Technical Teacher’s Training & Research. Government of India established four regional centre of NITTTR in Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai and Kolkata in 1967. Institute at Chandigarh is one of these four NITTTRS, started in collaboration with royal Netherlands govt. It was designed to meet the requirements of developing polytechnic education in the northern region covering the states J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Delhi, and union territory of Chandigarh. It is managed by a board of governors.

All the programmes being offered for teachers of technical institutions and their administrators, professionals from industry and general candidates, are duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh. The institute has been recognised as a research centre by Punjab University, Chandigarh as well as Punjab technical university, jalandhar.

The Test is conducted by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (U.T).

The NITTTR holds the Exam for the appointment of aspirants in Grade A, B and C category post at various departments. Here below given the structure of exam, pattern, age eligibility, qualification, and fee details.

STRUCTURE OF SSA TGT EXAM:

The Test will be objective type Test. (having multiple choice questions)

Total No. of Question will be 150.

Total marks will be 150.

Time Duration will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

Age limit:

Age limit for the post of TGT is  21-37.  Age to be calculated as  on  01/01/2019.

(SC, OBC, Ex-Servicemen or any other category will be given age relaxation as

Qualifying Marks:

(i) Minimum qualifying marks will be 40%.

(ii) Negative marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25  marks will be made for each wrong answer.

[A] (i) Graduate from a recognized University with relevant subjects/Elective

Subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate;

(ii) Degree of Bachelor of Education with relevant teaching subject or its

Equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks

In aggregate;

(iii) Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET- Paper–II) conducted by the CBSE

New Delhi in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE is

Compulsory.

OR

[B] (i) 4 years integrated B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. or an equivalent course with

relevant subjects or an equivalent course recognized by NCTE with at

least 50% marks in aggregate.

 

(ii) Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-Paper-II conducted by the CBSE

New Delhi in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE is

Note: Instructions issued by DOPT-Govt. of India vide O.M. No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 duly adopted by Chandigarh Administration regarding 10% reservation for EWS will be followed.

AGE:

Age limit for the posts of TGT is 21-37 years. Age is to be calculated as on 01.01.2019.

AGE RELAXATION:

  1. SC, OBC, Ex-Servicemen or any other category will be given age relaxation as per the rules/instructions issued by Govt. of India/Chandigarh Administration in this regard.
  2. As per instructions issued by Chandigarh Administration vide letter no. 27/4/94-IH(7)-2015/16074 dated 03.08.2015, a candidate would be eligible for the benefit of reservation of Other Backward Class (OBC) whose caste is notified in the State List of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) of Union Territory, Chandigarh.

III.   No candidate will be accorded age relaxation and benefit of reservation unless he/she attaches the requisite certificate issued by competent authority at the time of document verification.

 

APPLICATION FEE:

Application fee (non-refundable) amounting to Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400 in case of SC) will be accepted through online mode/challan upto 27.03.2019 (upto 04:00 PM). Persons with disability are exempted for payment of fee as per instructions issued by Govt. of India.

 

MODE OF SELECTION AND SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF TGT:

  1. Merit list for selection will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Objective Type Test. One objective type tests of 150 Marks will be conducted. Qualifying marks for test will be 40% for all candidates. No interview will be conducted.
  2. Written test consisting of Multiple choice questions will be conducted as under:

(iii)  Difficulty Level of questions relating to subject specific will be as per essential qualification prescribed for the post.

(iv)  The examination questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the Language papers which would be in the concerned Language only. However, paper will be set in English and Punjabi language also for those candidates who will submit their option for Punjabi medium at the time of filling up of Online Application Form.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

  1. After the conduct of written test answer key will be uploaded on website as per schedule for submission of objections by the candidates.
  2. Marks obtained by the candidates in written test will be uploaded on the website.

III.   Merit list prepared on the basis of marks in written test will be uploaded on the website and on the basis of said merit; candidates will be called for scrutiny of original document and checking of eligibility conditions.

  1. In case two or more candidates are having same marks in written test then a candidate having higher marks in C-TET (Paper-II) will rank higher in the merit.
  2. In the first round, candidates to be called for scrutiny of original documents under each category will be 1.5 time (one and half time) the number of posts under each category.
