FCI is Food Corporation of India . FCI was setup under the act of 1964, in order to fulfil following objectives of food policy.
Effective price support operations for safeguarding the interests of the farmers.
Distribution of food grains throughout the country for public distribution system.
Maintaining satisfactory level of operational and buffer stocks of food grains to ensure national food security.
FCI is also responsible for the food products quality and quantity of preservatives used in them.
FCI board conduct the recruitment process every year for different Posts. As this department provide its services all over India so it has large number of vacancies to be filled every year. The vacancies are distributed according to zone wise i.e.

Structure of Exam
The Paper is conducted online.
The online test comprises of Phase-I and Phase -II exams.
In the Phase -I of Online test, the test will be objective type (multiple choice question).
Each question will carry 1 (one) mark for right answer and for each wrong answer , there will be negative marking of .25 (1/4) mark .
Due to multiple level of vacancies different Posts carry different eligibility Criteria.
Note: A candidate can apply in one zone only i.e. Either north zone or south zone or east zone or west zone or north east zone. Also, a candidate can apply only for any one of the Post Code A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I (within the zone).

Eligibility
Age Limit: Maximum age 25-33 years (relaxation of age will be applicable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories.
Application Fee: The candidate applying for the Post are required to submit application fee of Rs. 500.

This online test will be subjective type .Translation 2 passage , one from Hindi to English and English to Hindi or the candidates applying for the Post Code D. Each question will carry 60 marks and the maximum marks for the Paper- IV would be 120 . The Paper shall be descriptive in nature would be conducted online.

SUMMARY
Food corporation of India is governed by the ministry of consumer affairs. The main purpose of the FCI is :
1. To provide minimum support price to farmer.
2.Stabilize rate of food grains in open market.
3. Maintenance of buffer stock to meet emergencies.
4. Provide subsidized food grains to vulnerable section of society and implement food policy of govt. Of India.
Food corporation of India recently came out with the no. Of vacancies in different department .this is the largest PSU in India. The student who is graduate ,Post graduate ,B. Tech holder all can apply for the FCI exam as according to their eligibility.
This year exam pattern is slightly different from the previous one. Candidate can opt only one cadre assistant grade-III i.e. General, technical/depot/accounts/Hindi and with a particular region . Moreover candidate can apply for single region only.
The Paper is conducted in two Phases. Phase I and Phase II. In Phase I test will be online , And test will be bilingual except the language .
In the Phase II the exam is divided into two categories. one Paper exam consisting of 1 Paper after Phase I exam and two Paper exam consisting of two Papers after Phase II. The candidates applying for any one of the Post j.e, A.G-III(accounts), AG-III(technical) will appear in Paper-I to be followed by Paper-II.
The candidates applying for the Post Code D will appear in Paper-III to be followed by Paper-IV.
